|enjoy that shit|
I went to see the premiere of the Son of God yesterday. And I just have to say... WOW.
It's not like I was surprised or anything, since I am Lutheran and I know more about the Bible than I know my favorite TV show. But whenever I see the crucifixion of Christ, I bawl like crazy.
The movie was <in my opinion> better than Passion of The Christ (2004). It shows lots of blood, yes, but less blood than the PoTC scene. It also shows much more aspects of the Lord's work in Nazareth. PoTC just shows His final days.
Although the movie seems to rush a little in the first half hour (the Adam and Eve scene only gets 5 secs of screen time, as does Noah's Ark, Abraham, Moses, etc.) it is almost 3 hours long.
(Personal thoughts: We may never know what Jesus actually looked like, but as far as I know, all of the actors that portray him over the years are HOT.)
The entire theatre, including me, clapped several times throughout the 3 hours, and some of us even shouted "Amen!" when a disciple or Himself said a wonderful message.
As far as recommendations are, I suggest that EVERYONE, faith or no faith, sees this movie. If your looking for a reason to be born again, go see the movie. If you are considering Christ in your life, go see the movie. If you want to see a very very accurate depiction of Biblical scenes, go see the movie.
God bless all of you.
